HOW DO THE TREASURE HUNTS WORK?
Teams compete in an enjoyable and creative atmosphere working together to find answers to clues. The hunts include a combination of cryptic clues with photographic, scavenger and trivia challenges, all of which inspire a spirit of teamwork. Click here for prices and packages.
HOW LONG DO THE TREASURE HUNTS LAST?
You can hunt for up to two and a half hours, depending on how bigger day you want to make it! The briefing at the beginning usually takes 15 minutes and the prizegiving at the end is typically half an hour after you return from your Treasure Hunt.
WHERE ARE THE TREASURE HUNTS?
We currently run Treasure Hunts in Wellington (Coutenay, Cuba, Lambton and Waterfron), Palmerston North (CBD), and Auckland (Viaduct and Takapuna). Look out Christchurch - you're next!
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN PARTICIPATE?
All you need is two teams to compete, so the smallest group we cater for is 6 people and the largest is yet to be seen!
WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?
Prizes vary depending on the event and they are awarded to the team with the most points on return. Points are deducted for each minute late, so every minute counts!
HOW FIT DO I HAVE TO BE TO DO A TREASURE HUNT?
The beauty about our Treasure Hunts is that they are not designed to be a race, it is the total point value at the end that decides the winners! So people of any age and any ability can do a Treasure Hunt - it's all about strategy!
I DID A TREASURE HUNT LAST YEAR AND NOW MY NEW WORKPLACE WANTS TO DO ONE, WILL IT BE THE SAME?
The Treasure Hunt Company has over 600 clues stored in it's Treasure Vault, so just let us know you've done one before and we'll make sure EVERYTHING is different - you'll feel like it's a whole new experience!

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Each team will have the opportunity to design and carve a sculpture using a carving kit, chisels, safety apparel, floor covering and close supervision by our crew. (No - we don't use chainsaws!)
HOW LONG IS THE ACTIVITY?
An ice carving activity lasts approximately one and a half hours (including briefing at the beginning and prize giving at the end).
HOW MANY CAN PARTICIPATE?
For groups up to 200 working in teams of 2-5 people.
WHERE CAN WE DO THE ICE CARVING?
The great thing about doing this activity is that it can be done indoors, or outdoors, which means any time of the year! If you are having a conference, we will consult with the Venue to find the best space, just leave it to us!
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Breaking The Ice events are quoted individually depending on the number of participants and where the event takes place. We operate on a per head basis starting at $80 per person. Click here for more price information.
WHAT ARE THE PRIZES?
Prizes vary depending on the group and they are awarded to the team with the most complete sculpture, best use of chisels, team who shows the most cohesion and driest area.
IS BREAKING THE ICE DANGEROUS?
Your tools are everyday chisels, so as long as you're sensible, there's no danger at all. We make sure the area around you stays safe so you can concentrate on your magnificent works of ice!
